An outcropping we called Despair Rock. It was getting late in the day, and we had decided that we would turn around at 4:30. This was taken with the idea that it would be our "summit" photo. We knew that the end of the trail was close, but didn't know how much farther we had to go. But, after checking with the map, we decided that we were really close, and would try another 15 minutes before heading back.
