Heading back. It turns out the trail forks near the beginning. The trail that reaches the spot where we parked is really a side trail. We followed the main trail past the fork, and after consulting with the photos from the trail head to realize that we had descended too far down the mountain. We had to climb up a ridge and hook up with the correct trail.

Creek, mountains, powerlines. Another jeep trail met up with the Alta road, and these powerlines followed the other trail, probably to private cabin sites. We saw a 5 acre lot for sale just below the ghost town.
